Consider Your Options
At Chilliwack Cemeteries our goal is to make the process of completing the final interment arrangements as easy as possible during a stressful time.
If you have an immediate need, or are just starting to plan, we are here to help you get exactly the place and memorial you and your family want.
One of the first decisions you will need to make when considering final arrangements for yourself or a loved one, is whether you prefer casket burial or cremation interment.
When making this decision you’ll also want to consider what kind of grave marker or headstone you like most, as options vary with each interment option.
Whatever your choice, just contact us and our caring professionals will work with you as you select the arrangements that are right for you or your loved one.
When pre-planning, you’ll also want to consider these parts to a full interment:
- Place (interment area)
- Vault
- Opening and closing
- Grave marker (optional). Please note: if you are purchasing a grave marker, a setting fee is required.
The place, vault and grave marker or headstone can be prepaid, while the opening and closing fee is due at the time of need only.

Complete the Pre-Interment Authorization Form
If you’d like, please fill out the Pre-Interment Authorization form prior to your appointment with Chilliwack Cemeteries.
Timeline Requirement
Please allow 2 business days notice after paperwork has been completed for all weekday interments.
Saturday interments must be booked and paid for by the Monday prior to the interment. All interment paperwork, such as the interment authorization, must be signed in the office prior to an interment.
Interments may be rescheduled due to unsafe conditions caused by weather or other unplanned events.
Burial locations that are not near a roadway will require a long carry. Please talk to your funeral director about using a church cart and plan the number of casket bearers appropriately. Our casket cart will be available for a nominal fee should you need further assistance. Four people will still be required for transfers.
